We had a great time at Cyphacon! I think we did about ten panels between us, and as always, we enjoyed every minute of it. Meeting and talking to fans is my favorite part of being a writer. The fandom goes both ways, because seriously, our readers are really amazing people.
We were lucky to serve on panels with many incredible authors, including:
We have had a busy year with a lot of life changes (the biggest being that Mike got married!) but work on book two is amping up. Not only do we have the first draft, but we've made significant headway into the second.
Additionally, we have started the process of turning book one into an audiobook. We are hoping to release the audiobook for book one at the same time we release book two, and if all goes well, an audiobook for book along with that.
Our timeline, which is tentative, is late 2019, early 2020 for these releases. Meanwhile, enjoy an image of my cat, Thufir. ~S. Melancon
Mike and I took more than a week off from editing so I could drive off into the sunset (you know, west) to meet my husband in Arizona where he had flown for a business trip. I finally got to see the Grand Canyon!
When I returned we went right back to work and as of yesterday, we finished our last editing pass. On Monday we are going to prepare copies for our alpha readers! We are one step closer to publishing this!
I'll leave you with a photo from one of the detours I took on my trip.
Welcome to our new website! We hope you'll check back often for updates on our progress.

Work continues on the final edit and we are getting dangerously close to putting a book in the hands of our beta readers. We had hoped to do so by the holidays, but it looks like we'll be just shy of being ready by then.
In the meantime, I'd love to introduce you to our support crew.
